RoSME
Ever since its beginnings, in 1919, the Academy s mission has been steadily concerned - as one might point out, obviously - with music education. Besides delivering high quality higher education to its students, this institution has been largely involved in providing sound research bases for music education policies and practical applications, together with providing a constant flow of well-prepared music educators. It is with great pleasure that our longstanding efforts have been acknowledged internationally through the inclusion of our RoSME (Romanian Society for Music Education) in the larger and prestigious International Society for Music Education. Our mission to serve music education may now go on and grow within this framework in all its four major areas: musical higher education, pre-school, primary and secondary education, lifelong learning and arts and culture. The Society will also represent its members and will advocate music education in policy-making issues regarding education in Romania. We thus warmly invite all music educators in Romania to join RoSME and its activities.
